Mercedes Fragrance
Mercedes Benz disperses its custom-created fragrances into its cars, and this experience was meant to be brought into the showrooms as well.
The result is a small series of table fragrance diffusers with a reserved design that provides the necessary stage for the perfume and sets it off with accentuated lighting effects. This was a group project in cooperation with Matmat Studio and Otproduktdesign.
The final design seamlessly integrated functional aesthetics that were parametrically and computationally generated. These computational details serve as outlets for perfume while also drawing aesthetic inspiration from the grille of Mercedes cars. In low light conditions, the parametric features allow light to pass through, creating an ethereal aura that enhances both the product and its surroundings.
Tasked with creating visually striking perfume outlets inspired by Mercedes Benz grille designs, I used computational techniques to produce parametric details that serve as both perfume outlets and aesthetic enhancements. These elements cast an ethereal glow in low-light, reinforcing the luxury ambiance of Mercedes Benz showrooms.
